I had an amazing experience at Malabar Plate in Karama. Tried the mushroom varattiyath, beef dry fry, and Alappuzha chicken curry — all three dishes were bursting with authentic Kerala flavors. The mushroom varattiyath had the perfect spice blend and texture, while the beef dry fry was crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. The Alappuzha chicken curry brought a delicious hit of tanginess and coconut just like a home cooked meal from Kerala. Cozy ambiance, friendly staff, and great value for money. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Malabar food.

Located in the heart of Karama, this Teeffee Malabar Plate is a small restaurant where there is Kerala cuisine for the visitors.
In the holy month of the Ramadan, most of the visitors are served in Buffet at the midnight.
Most of the visitors are there to enjoy the vibe nearby.
That street is transformed into the Ramadan street food festival where most of the people from around the UAE come to experience the food festival in the night.
This is a cozy, well-lit interior of the Teeffee Malabar plate restaurant or café.
The design features modern, sleek elements like clean white walls, elegant wooden ceiling panels, and well-arranged tables.
Some people are seated at tables, enjoying their meal or having a conversation, while others are walking through the space, possibly heading to their seats after they take self serve their food from the buffet arrangement.
The counter area has some containers with candy and other items on display, adding a welcoming touch.
There’s also a noticeable focus on the bright lighting, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
It looks like a nice, bustling place for people to gather and enjoy their time with wide range of Iftar combo or the Ramadan offers.
They need to improve a little bit of service to the guests in serving like hot water when required specially at the night time.

I recently visited TeeFee Malabar Plate with my family for dinner, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and inviting atmosphere. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the authentic Indian food. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. We tried the butter chicken, Malabar biryani, fish curry, and a variety of fresh naans and appams — all of them were delicious! The spices were perfectly balanced, and the portions were generous. Even the kids thoroughly enjoyed the food, which says a lot!
The service was top-notch — attentive but not intrusive. The staff were polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to respond to our needs. The restaurant was also very clean and well-maintained, which added to our comfort.
Dining at TeeFee Malabar Plate was a memorable experience for the whole family. It’s a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys high-quality Indian cuisine in a pleasant setting. I would highly recommend it and definitely look forward to visiting again soon!

Malabar Plate (Teefe) – A Masterclass in Disappointment
If you're planning to visit Malabar Plate (Teefe) in Karama, let me save you the regret: don’t. What looks like a grand theatrical feast quickly unravels into a culinary disaster dressed in smoke and Instagram filters.
We were served a buffalo leg with all the bells and whistles—literally. There was smoke billowing out, colorful drinks in test tube glasses, a wooden tray setup that screamed “fine dining,” and staff acting like they were unveiling a Michelin-starred creation. But once the show ended and we actually tasted the food, the reality hit—hard.
The buffalo leg? A chewy, dry, flavorless mess that tasted like it had been cooked hours ago and just dunked into a pool of spicy gravy to fake freshness. No tenderness, no balance of flavor, no soul—just heat and disappointment. The porotta served alongside was just as bad—dry, rubbery, and barely edible. It felt like eating leftovers from a day-old buffet.
And let’s talk about the price: outrageous. For all the gimmicks and drama, they charge like they’re serving gold-plated lamb. You're not paying for good food—you’re paying for smoke, colored drinks, and regret. It’s a textbook case of style over substance.
In a city like Dubai with so many amazing Malabar restaurants, Teefe is just an overpriced, overhyped showpiece. Don’t be fooled by the fancy presentation—your taste buds and your wallet deserve better.
One star—only for the effort in presentation. The rest? A total flop.
